On Thursday when we heard the news of Michael Jackson passing, we sat watching Michael Jackson videos, as I’m sure most everyone else with access to the internet did. I’m a bigger fan of the less well known stuff, give me “Leave Me Alone” or “Speed Demon” over “Billie Jean” any day. And any chance I get, I will recommend “Can You Feel It.” We didn’t have luck finding clips of him in The Wiz, but if you can, watch his scenes. His screen presence completely takes over, and its not like hes not sharing screen time with some real heavy weights.
Anyway, I thought I was well versed in most everything Michael (I’ve seen Ghosts* for pete’s sake), but Videogum once again humbled me. I would’ve loved to watch it with everyone Thursday, this video is nuts. Lou Ferrigno! The Gute! Jasmine Guy! Paula Abdul! Carl Weathers! John Travolta! Danny Glover! Lou Diamond Phillips! Blair Underwood! The late 80s!!!
