I caught the last half of The Night Walker today on TCM. I adore Barbara Stanwyck, and even though the movie was dubbed (I am in Mexico), the dubber did a good job matching her vocal style and it didn’t take away too much from her performance. She looks as trim and beautiful as ever; I was surprised to see the movie was released in 1964. I mean, at a time when Bette Davis was playing Baby Jane at 54 it’s nice to see that Stanwyck didn’t get the same treatment at 57. Unless perhaps at some point the in half of the movie I missed, her character is described as ancient. She still looks great though.
That’s definitely one thing I miss about not having cable, its a lot harder to just stumble across movies like this.
