My seeds are starting to sprout, but only the radishes. I wasn’t expecting the carrots to sprout yet, since they have double the germination time that the radishes do, but now I’d be surprised if they come up at all since I just witnessed a squirrel scamper across the street and bury a huge green acorn type thing right in the garden where I sowed the row of carrots.
It was kind of cute watching his tiny little T. Rex arms dig the hole and then cover it back up with dirt, patting it perfectly flat, but come on squirrel, it’s my garden. You and the grackles already ate half of the very few tomatoes that grew this summer, can’t you find some soft dirt in the yard to dig through?
